Home Employment Specialty Sport Instructor(s) – Casual Part-time Location: East Hants, various locations, NS We are accepting applications for casual, part-time, Specialty Sport Instructors to join our team. In collaboration with the Community Recreation Coordinator, the Specialty Sport Instructor plans and facilitates Active Start programming in various locations throughout the Municipality. Our programs are rooted in the philosophy of providing high quality, accessible, inclusive and affordable programming to the community. Specialty Sport Instructors are responsible to plan and implement programming, have a background in sport instruction, day camp experience or equivalent, can assess participant progress, provide feedback and promote a safe and inclusive sport learning environment for youth. What You Can Offer Fundamental Movement Skills Certification or Similar Sport Certifications Strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and conflict management skills Basic Workplace First Aid, training can be arranged, willingness to obtain required. Clean Vulnerable Sector and Child Abuse Registry Checks Solid understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging with skills to foster a welcoming and accessible environment for all participants Programs may be offered at the East Hants Aquatic Centre, East Hants Sportsplex or in schools and community halls in various locations across East Hants.
