Job summary

Canora Pharmacy is looking for a part-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Canora, Saskatchewan. Patient Focused Care Responsibilities: Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy with a preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred. Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry is an asset. Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Schedule: 20 hours per week (Part-time) The usual shifts will be Wednesday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Who We Are: Neighbourly Pharmacy is Canada’s largest and fastest growing network of community pharmacies.
