Job Title: Data Architect Location: Remote – Occasional travel up to 15% Employment Type: Part-Time Contract Contract Duration: September 2026 – August 2027 Extension: Potential extension up to 24 months About the Role NetworkPedia is seeking an experienced Data Architect to support a large-scale data modernization and enterprise data warehousing initiative. The successful candidate will help consolidate multiple reporting data marts into an integrated enterprise data warehouse and develop reliable, scalable data architecture to improve data availability, governance, reporting, and analytics. This role will focus on data architecture, data modeling, data profiling, ETL development, data quality, and reporting validation, while working closely with technical and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the definition and management of data architecture, including standards, principles, models, strategies, and design guidelines. Review existing data marts and perform detailed data profiling and analysis. Define data structures, business rules, mappings, dimensions, facts, and enterprise data requirements. Design and document data models and transition plans from current-state to future-state architecture. Develop and test ETL/ELT processes and support data staging and integration activities. Perform data quality testing and validation of dimensions, facts, and reporting datasets. Develop and validate Power BI reports and dashboards to support data testing and reporting requirements. Promote data governance, data quality, reuse, and reduction of data redundancy. Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure alignment with enterprise data standards. Provide technical guidance and consulting to project teams on data architecture and solution design. Create architecture documentation, data models, mapping specifications, diagrams, and other technical artifacts. Communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Support continuous improvement activities and provide project closeout feedback and lessons learned. Mandatory Skills & Qualifications 15+ years of experience providing architecture analysis/assessments, implementing business rules, determining data mart content, and defining data structures. 15+ years of experience using data modeling tools such as PowerDesigner, ERWin, Oracle Designer, SQL Developer Data Modeler, or Microsoft Visio. 15+ years of experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influencing decision-making. 12+ years of experience working in or with public-sector environments. Experience with data warehousing and enterprise data architecture. Experience with data profiling, data modeling, ETL, data quality, and reporting. Experience with SQL Server and related data technologies. Completed training in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Completed training in database administration. Strong understanding of information management, cybersecurity policies, directives, and guidelines. Ability to attend occasional onsite meetings when required. Ability to complete required security screening, including criminal records and enhanced security checks. Preferred Skills 13+ years of experience with JOIN/JIMS data and data structures or comparable justice/court information systems. 12+ years of experience working within court or judicial environments. Data warehousing certifications such as TDWI CBIP, CFI BIDA, or Kimball Group Data Warehouse training. Experience with Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, and enterprise reporting environments. Experience with information management, privacy, and cybersecurity requirements. Strong understanding of judicial/business processes and data governance.
