Striving to empower women in regaining the confidence, means, and ability to start afresh.
Mississauga, Ontario
Nisa Foundation, a registered charity since 2019, was founded with the mission of providing culturally responsive support for women and girls facing life’s challenges. What began as Nisa Helpline in 2014, a confidential lifeline for women in crisis, has grown into a comprehensive organization with three key programs that empower women to rebuild their lives and strengthen their communities. Nisa Helpline offers trusted, compassionate support, addressing the urgent needs of Muslim women with respect and understanding. Nisa Homes provides safe shelters for women and children, offering refuge and tools for self-development in times of crisis. Nisa Learning focuses on education and prevention, delivering workshops that foster healthier families and communities, while preventing domestic violence and promoting awareness. We believe that when women succeed, communities thrive. Through our programs, we are committed to creating lasting impact by providing holistic support that uplifts individuals and transforms communities.
