Job Description Nova Scotia Health is recruiting a Diagnostic Imaging (DI) physician to provide medical leadership for the provincial DI stewardship initiative. This role can be based out of any zone in Nova Scotia and will work collaboratively with DI leadership, providers, the Diagnostic and Therapeutics Network and the DI Stewardship Coordinator in building a sustainable, impactful provincial DI stewardship service. Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide collaborative medical leadership in developing, implementing and monitoring provincial clinical imaging pathways, clinical decision support tools, provider education and provincial standardization that has measurable impact on DI resources, patient experiences/safety and system workflow. The DI medical stewardship role will apply national best practice standards (ie. Choosing Wisely). Academic opportunities for collaboratively publishing and presenting stewardship work are included in this role. Expected Hours This position is 0.2 FTE Remuneration Remuneration is based on NSH physician leadership rates Qualifications All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS). Applicants are required to be diagnostic imaging physicians with (FRCPC) or equivalent. Eligibility to sit for the FRCPC exams will be considered. Requirements
