Clinical Lead - RN (Fraser Valley)

This is a permanent casual position

Reporting to the Care Manager or designate, the Clinical Lead - RN is primarily responsible for ensuring that the immediate needs of the client are being met through the full spectrum of the RN scope. Duties could range from assessments to wound care for our Work Safe BC Clients. The Clinical Lead - RN is responsible for quality assurance and best practices in the community as per CBI Home Health standards. The Clinical Lead - RN will be expected to represent the agency in a professional and responsible manner.

  • Graduate of a recognized program of nursing
  • Current British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals Registration
  • Minimum six (6) months clinical experience preferred. Will consider a new graduate for the right candidate.
  • Current CPR
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle for work related travel

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrates professionalism in all situations
  • Staff Education which includes training, mentoring and reviews of field staff
  • Provide direct nursing, assessments, personal care and after hours supervision as required
    Communicate effectively with Coordinators with respect to client service provision
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with clients, families, referring agencies and
    colleagues in a manner that promotes positive community relations
  • Maintain knowledge of community care requirements/trends and participate in identifying services/training required to meet them
  • Document professionally, appropriately, and in a timely manner as per specified CBI Home Health standards
  • Identify and report safety concerns or potential safety concerns
  • Provide teaching and coaching as required to family, clients and caregivers
  • Work with an awareness of health and safety and cooperate towards improved health and safety conditions at work
  • Knows and adheres to the formal and informal departmental goals, standards and policies and procedures
