Job details
Ontario Heart Center (OHC) is committed to keeping hearts healthy and strong by providing quality and timely patient care that promotes early diagnosis, prevention and cardiovascular risk management. We balance the best of technological expertise with the compassion of patient-centred care for all types of cardiac problems. OHC is looking for a friendly, creative person who is comfortable on camera to help patients and families in our community understand heart health, cardiac testing and their care options. The role at a glance Hours: 10 to 15 hours per week, part-time Pay: $25 per hour Where you’ll work: fully in person at our Etobicoke clinic, with occasional travel to our other clinic sites. Travel: travel to other sites for work is reimbursed Required: you are comfortable on camera What you’ll do Host short videos two to three times a week: appear on camera in TikTok and Reels-style videos about heart health, prevention, and helping patients and families navigate their care. Write and adapt scripts: turn our blog topics (symptom awareness, understanding tests like ECGs and echocardiograms, prevention, patient choice and referrals, family and community heart health, seasonal moments) into short, plain language video scripts. Film and edit: shoot on a phone and edit with CapCut or similar. Fast and consistent beats, polished and slow. Post and manage our accounts: publish on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook on a regular schedule, and reply to comments and messages professionally. Run basic paid promotion: set up and monitor Meta Ads Manager boosts on our best-performing posts, targeted to the areas around our clinics, plus a small TikTok Spark Ads test. We’ll train you if you haven’t done this before. Follow our healthcare content guidelines. Every script is reviewed before it is posted or boosted. What we’re looking for Genuinely comfortable on camera. This is required. Please include a link to a short (30 to 60 second) video introducing yourself (see How to apply). Some experience creating short video content, personal or professional. A few links to past posts tell us more than a formal resume. Basic video editing skills (CapCut, InShot or similar). Happy to learn Meta Ads Manager basics if you don’t already know it. Curiosity about why a post performs well matters more than any certification. A clear, friendly communicator who can explain health topics in plain language. Reliable and able to work on site in Etobicoke, with occasional travel to our other clinics. Legally entitled to work in Canada. Our hiring process Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an in-person interview, where we’ll look at your intro video and past posts together.
