General Clerk/Cashier - Vernon

We are looking for a General Clerk/Cashier to work in multiple departments to join our location in Vernon, BC. Departments include grocery, deli, produce, bakery and front end. Up to 40 hours per week. Open availability is preferred. Responsibilities: Create a positive and professional experience by greeting and assisting every customer. Ensure the department is well stocked and presented with the freshest products. Accurately price and label products. Share product knowledge and recommendations with customers. Assist customers with product requests and special orders. Resolve customer inquiries and concerns. Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking merchandise. Clean equipment and workstation to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment. Other duties as required. Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive shopping experience. The ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Retail or customer service experience is considered an asset. Compensation Details: $18.50 - $24.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.

The General Clerk/Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with product requests, and resolving customer inquiries. They must also maintain the department by stocking merchandise, pricing products, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, while previous retail or customer service experience is considered an asset.
