Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for the position of a Part Time Educational Assistant based out of Pembina North Community School. The Division Pembina Hills School Division provides education to approximately 3500 students in 15 community schools in north central Alberta. PHSD also provides education to over 10,000 students from within and beyond our borders, through our online school, Vista Virtual School. For more information on our remarkable Division, please visit our website at The School – Pembina North Community School Pembina North Community School is located 26 km north of Westlock, and 81 km northwest of St. Albert in the Town of Dapp. The Kindergarten to Grade 9 School operates under the purpose statement, “United We Achieve Excellence”. The Position The successful candidate must be a self-directed team player who is interested in providing support and encouragement to students with a diversity of learning needs in a Kindergarten classroom. Hours of work will be 2 days/week (Tuesday and Thursday) at 7 hours/day following the school calendar. This school follows an alternate calendar. Duties to commence August 27, 2026 and will end June 25, 2027. Qualifications Experience supporting students with behavior difficulties Experience supporting students with developmental delays Preference will be given to applicants with an understanding of childhood development Experience supporting learners with early literacy and numeracy skills A clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a program assistant Good at building a rapport and presenting a non-judgmental attitude Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team in an inclusive environment A positive addition to our instructional team Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed SIVA Training would be an asset First aid would be an asset For Further Information, Please Contact Robert Weiss (Principal) at 780-954-3790 This competition remains open until a suitable candidate is found.
