Job summary
Tache Pharmacy has embraced the expanded scope of practice for community pharmacists in Manitoba and are seeking motivated and patient-focused pharmacists: Offering unique opportunities to develop compounding skills in its in-house compounding lab, preparing sterile, hazardous, high-risk, and non-sterile compounds. Tache Pharmacy utilizes advanced automation, including PacMed/PacVision, SynMed, and Count Assist, streamlines compliance packaging, allowing pharmacists to focus on clinical care and patient outcomes. Pharmacists will collaborate with healthcare professionals, provide community outreach, conduct home visits, deliver presentations, and administer immunizations. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to grow within the organization, with a potential pathway into leadership and management roles. \n Responsibilities Pharmacist duties will include but are not limited to: Working collaboratively with patients’ physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes Conducting health screening clinics Engaging in community outreach programs Conducting immunization clinics Performing medication reviews and medication management services as per the provincial standards Applying full scope of practice as a clinical pharmacist in Manitoba Patient counseling on selection and use of non-prescription medication Ensuring accurate pharmacotherapy Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage of medications Maintaining medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticals Requirements Licensed and in good standing with College of Pharmacist of Manitoba Strong sense of professionalism Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal Strong problem solving skills Superior patient and physician relation skills Injection Certification Excellent leadership and performance management skills an asset Additional accreditation such as a CDE or a Geriatric Pharmacist an asset Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software an asset Compensation Competitive compensation package Health and Dental benefits Professional license fee Positive work-life balance: no late evenings, one weekend each month \n At PharmaChoice, we see the pharmacist’s role as that of a recognized community leader, whose commitment to their patients makes them an important member of their patient’s health care team.
