We are currently seeking Event Services Custodians to support overnight room conversions and facility cleaning. This position is essential to ensure a presentation of excellence with each unique event held at TCU Place. Under the supervision of the Event Services Supervisor, this position performs setup and teardown of building events and assists with the cleaning and security duties. Typical Duties Performs the setup and dismantling of events, including theatre, weddings, banquets, conventions, meetings, trade shows and cabarets. Responds to client requests before and during events. Assists with janitorial and general cleaning duties. Removes debris and snow from outside grounds, including walkways and patio. Performs security checks of building, as required. Responds to radio calls, covers the stage door and assists with shipping and receiving, as required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Abilities And Skills Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public and other employees. Physical ability to perform the assigned duties. Ability to operate mechanical equipment. Security Requirements Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment. Education, Training And Experience Requirements Grade 10 education. Three months' related setup and teardown experience. Hours Of Work Shift work and weekend work is required. The scheduling of this position is surrounding the needs of our events with shifts primarily starting at midnight and overnight. Salary: $20.13 - $22.20 per hour
