The Emergency Security Agent, assigned to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients, will enhance community safety by providing rapid and professional responses during critical situations. The Agent acts as an effective witness and delivers detailed crime and incident information to responding police. This role does not engage in routine law enforcement actions or arrests except in true emergencies such as violent felonies, serious injuries, or threats to the health and welfare of employees, guests, and citizens. This role initiates quick and appropriate intervention including the request of immediate police assistance, if needed. Responsibilities Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence. Serve as a resource for on-site Corporate Security, Security Guards, and internal business partners. Assist with special events and details, as needed. Initiate emergency-response actions in the event of crises, emergencies or threats to employees, and/or customers on campus. Provide oversight and coordination of operation plans for specialized and sensitive events occurring on campus. Collaborate with security, law enforcement, and medical personnel as part of an overall security plan or as incidents dictate. All other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Degree preferred with at least five years of active, soon-to-be-retired, or retired Canadian law enforcement experience. Current British Columbia Security Worker License is required. Effective interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures. Problem resolution skills. Sound judgement with the ability to analyze situations quickly. Able to gather and communicate accurate incident details and information. Working Conditions: With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions; Regular computer usage. Exposure to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals in or approaching an unauthorized area. Rapid and effective decision-making during unusual or emergencies. Occasional reaching and lifting of small objects and operating office equipment. Frequent sitting, standing, and/or walking. Travel, as required.
