Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Kitchen Staff role based at our location in Mississauga, ON. The Kitchen Staff team member will support daily food preparation, cooking, and plating of Chaap and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following hygiene and food safety procedures, and assisting with inventory handling such as receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients. The role also involves coordinating with front-of-house staff, responding to special requests, and ensuring timely order fulfillment during peak hours. Weekend and evening availability may be required based on store operations. Qualifications Food preparation and cooking skills, with the ability to follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines. Strong knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices, including proper cleaning, sanitizing, and handling of ingredients. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and support smooth kitchen and service operations. Customer service awareness, with a focus on quality, consistency, and respectful interaction when needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Prior experience in a restaurant kitchen or food service environment is an asset but not mandatory. Willingness to learn Punjabi Chaap Corner’s menu, standards, and systems, and to follow brand guidelines. Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
