Job summary

Title Bartender REPORTS TO Food and Beverage Supervisor/Manager SUMMARY The Bartender is a vital member of the customer service team. They are responsible for mixing and serves drinks to guests, either at the bar, or through waiters and waitresses who place drink orders for dining room customers. CORE COMPETENCIES * Customer Service * Interpersonal Awareness * Team Work * Communication JOB DUTIES * Receiving and order guests’ meals and communicate clearly to the kitchen staff of any special requirements * Preparing and serve alcoholic beverages to guests following all AGLC and PURE policies and procedures * Following all standardized drink recipes * Handling bar inventory counts as assigned * Serving food and beverages to guests following proper standards and guidelines * Using suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience * Interacting with guests and respond knowledgeably to inquiries about the menu, prices, promotions, specials, services and features of the casino * Completing various opening, closing and running side duties as assigned * Following all food and beverage safety and sanitation practices * Handling various cash, comp, debit and credit transactions accurately and efficiently * Making eye contact and offer a warm sincere greeting and fond farewell * Using guests name at least once in every transaction * Thanking the guest for visiting and ask about additional needs * Providing support as a Food and Beverage Server when required * Handling any additional responsibilities, in various Food and Beverage outlets, as assigned REQUIREMENTS * Previous experience working in a fast paced restaurant or bar environment * 18 years of age or older * AGLC Pro-Serve certification * Able to maintain security clearance * A team player who is willing to learn new skills * Be approachable and hospitable * Enjoy working in a fast paced environment with a variety of customers * Possess high standards in customer service * Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends * Fluent in the English language * Have reliable means of transportation WORK CONDITIONS * Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time * At times may have to deal with unruly or intoxicated guests * Must be able to carry out light cleaning duties * Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment
