Job summary
Extended Day Program Leader (Part-Time) Queen Margaret's School is seeking caring, energetic, and dependable individuals to join our Extended Day Program team. This part-time position supports a safe, engaging, and inclusive after-school program for Junior School students in Kindergarten to Grade 6, from 2:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on instructional days. Our Extended Day Program is an extension of the Junior School experience, where students continue to learn, play, build friendships, and explore their interests in a welcoming environment. If you enjoy working with children and contributing to a collaborative school community, we encourage you to apply. Successful applicants will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check through Queen Margaret's School. Responsibilities Supervise and engage students in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment. Support and participate in recreational, creative, and outdoor activities. Maintain appropriate supervision and ensure student safety at all times. Foster positive relationships and support respectful behaviour. Assist with daily routines, including snacks, attendance, and transitions. Follow school policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures. Qualifications Required Minimum 19 years of age (licensing requirement). Experience working with children or youth. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Warm, dependable, and enthusiastic with sound judgment. Assets Emergency Child Care First Aid or Emergency First Aid with CPR-C. Experience in education, childcare, recreation, camps, or coaching. Class 4 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract. Working Conditions Monday to Friday, 2:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on instructional days. The program does not operate during school holidays or Professional Development days.

Requirements
Applicants must be at least 19 years old with experience working with children and strong communication skills. First Aid certification and a Class 4 Driver's Licence are considered assets.
