Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Fitness Coach role based in Guelph, ON, with an opportunity to extend to full time. The Fitness Coach will design and lead individual and group training sessions, provide safe and effective fitness instruction, and support members in setting and achieving their health and wellness goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading warmups, movement demonstration and correction, and monitoring member progress. The role also involves offering basic nutrition guidance within scope of practice, maintaining a clean and safe training environment, and collaborating with the team to deliver a consistent and positive member experience. The Fitness Coach will engage with members, encourage motivation and accountability, and contribute to community events and programs. Qualifications Proficiency in Group Exercise and Fitness Instruction, with experience leading classes for diverse fitness levels. Strong Fitness Training and Fitness Industry knowledge, including safe exercise programming and current best practices. Foundational understanding of Nutrition to provide general guidance aligned with professional and organizational standards. Relevant certification in fitness coaching, personal training, or group exercise from a recognized organization. Ability to communicate clearly, motivate members, and build positive, respectful relationships. Demonstrated commitment to safety, including proper technique, equipment use, and emergency procedures. Experience working in a gym, studio, or community fitness setting is an asset. Availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include early mornings, daytime, evenings, and weekends.
