Job summary

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Registered Practical Nurse position in the Medical Surgical Department. The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Qualifications Registered Practical Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required. Must possess current B.L.S. certificate. One year of recent nursing experience is preferred. Ability to fulfil requirements of full-time shift rotation. Medication Administration course completed. Medication Administration experience preferred. Well-developed Patient Assessment, Intervention and Evaluation skills. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs. Demonstrated ability to function productively in a very demanding environment. Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently. Demonstrated ability to function productively as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting. Demonstrated knowledge in the usage of various programs such as Cerner, Powerchart and Microsoft Office. Skilled with the interaction of patients and families to provide patient focused, goal-oriented care. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality. Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions. Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment. Able to manage multiple competing priorities. Strong communication skills with a patient centered focus.
