Saint John Energy is inviting applications for the role of "Project Manager" until 11:00am on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. This position is for a two-year term. Overview: Saint John Energy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the successful delivery of Grid Forward, utility modernization, engineering, operational, and capital projects. This term opportunity may be filled on a full-time or part-time basis depending on the candidate. We are particularly interested in candidates who would prefer a flexible schedule of approximately three to four days per week while continuing to contribute to meaningful project work. The successful candidate will will work closely with the Program Manager, Operations, Engineering, vendors, and business teams to support project planning and delivery. The Project Manager will coordinate activities across multiple projects, maintain schedules and budgets, manage project risks and issues, and support the successful execution of strategic and operational initiatives. Duties: Support the Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles of Saint John Energy. Manage assigned Grid Forward initiatives and related utility modernization projects. Support the delivery of operational, engineering, asset management, and capital projects. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, risk registers, issue logs, and status reports. Work closely with the Program Manager to coordinate project priorities, activities, and dependencies. Coordinate activities between Operations, Engineering, contractors, consultants, vendors, and business stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities. Track project financials, funding requirements, milestones, and reporting obligations. Identify, manage, and communicate project risks, issues, dependencies, and change impacts. Conduct field and site visits to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement. Support procurement activities, vendor coordination, and contract management as required. Communicate regularly with project sponsors and stakeholders to support informed decision-making. Support continuous improvement of project management practices, templates, and delivery processes. Employment Requirements: Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of project management experience. Proven experience delivering infrastructure, utility, engineering, operational, technology, or capital projects. Strong organizational, leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Experience developing project schedules, budgets, governance materials, and executive-level reporting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. PMP certification would be considered an asset. Experience in utilities, energy, engineering, construction, municipal, or infrastructure environments. Knowledge of public procurement, funding programs, and regulatory environments would be considered an asset. Working Conditions: Part-Time or Full-Time Term Opportunity Flexible work arrangement, approximately 32 to 40 hours per week. In office work environment with a combination of office, and field/site work. Regular interaction with operational and engineering teams. Periodic site visits within Saint John. The hourly wage rate for this job is in the range of $41.00 to $50.00 per hour, dependent upon the successful candidate's experience and qualifications. Why Join Saint John Energy?
