Jobs SaskPolytech – Women’s Basketball Coach Saskatoon Part time Role Overview SaskPolytech – Women’s Basketball Coach Amateur Sport Closes on: September 25, 2026 Position: Basketball Women’s Team Coach (Start immediately) Location: Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Saskatoon Campus Position Overview The Basketball Coach will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, leading practices, and coaching during games for post secondary athletes. The ideal candidate will foster a positive team culture, promote sportsmanship, and help student-athletes balance academic and athletic commitments. Key Responsibilities Plan and conduct regular practices and training sessions for Women’s team. Develop game strategies and coach during competitions. Mentor and motivate student-athletes to achieve their full potential. Collaborate with the Athletics Department to ensure compliance with institutional and league policies. Organize team meetings, travel arrangements, and game schedules. Promote a culture of academic excellence and personal growth among team members. Attend coaching development opportunities to stay current with basketball trends and techniques. Qualifications Required: NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) Level 1 Basketball certification (exceptions may be made). Required: Vulnerable Sector Check (must be completed prior to hiring). Previous coaching experience at the post-secondary, club, or high school level an asset. Strong knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and strategies. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Requirements
Candidates must have NCCP Level 1 Basketball certification and a completed Vulnerable Sector Check. Previous coaching experience at the high school, club, or post-secondary level is considered an asset.
