Role Description The role for Contract Faculty in Allied Health at the School of Allied Health Sciences, located at Morningside Campus. The responsibilities include developing and delivering course materials, evaluating student progress, and utilizing innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences. Faculty members are expected to foster an engaging, inclusive learning environment and ensure that the curriculum aligns with current industry standards. Additional duties may include participating in curriculum development, student advising, and contributing to the overall success of the department. Specializations Required The School is seeking to grow its contract faculty pool in the following programs: Massage Therapy (RMT) Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist Assistant (OT or PT) Paramedics (Paramedic or Emergency Room Nurse) Qualifications Strong teaching experience with a focus on facilitating engaging instructional activities and effectively assessing students' learning outcomes Expertise in areas such as healthcare practices, educational methodologies, and curriculum development Professional certifications or qualifications relevant to areas, Proficient in communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently Familiarity with digital tools and online teaching platforms to support hybrid learning environments Commitment to fostering equity, inclusion, and diversity in a classroom setting Bachelor's degree in relevant field is essential. Graduate degree an asset or a combination of education and experience Practical experience in the field required
