Job details
Schoolio Learning Pod is an alternative learning space located in Leslieville in Toronto. We are a homeschool pod that meets three days a week for 3 hours per day in-person at our centre. We are looking to hire 1-2 part time teachers. Our ideal candidate: - Is an OCT, RECE, or has equivalent certifications or experience - Is experienced with mixed-age instruction and K-8 teaching. - Has experience or certification in neurodivergent affirming practices and education - Can provide up to date background check including vulnerable sectors screening - Ideally first-aid certified - Bonus if you’re familiar with homeschooling and homeschooling community. - Bonus if you have experience in low-demand educational settings. Hours: - Regular part-time with the opportunity for more hours as the program expands. - Must be available Mon/Wed/Fri 12pm-4pm. - Paid planning time is included in collaboration with with our head of learning and with access to curriculum resources from Schoolio. - Pay starting at $35CAD hourly for 12 hours/week This is a perfect role for those on the occasional teachers list who want some part-time steady income while building experience! Requirements
Candidates should be an OCT, RECE, or have equivalent certifications or experience, with experience in mixed-age instruction and K-8 teaching. Experience or certification in neurodivergent-affirming practices and education is sought; an up-to-date vulnerable sector background check is required, and first-aid certification is preferred.
