Here is What’s on Your Horizon Faculty/School: School of Health Sciences Program/ Courses: Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant ( OTP) ; PTA- Principles and Techniques I or II (Lab) Duration: Fall Semester 2026 – ( September – December 2026) We welcome applications for part-time teaching opportunities. Course assignments are based on scheduling and instructional needs. Contract faculty typically teach up to 6 hours per week, with classes scheduled Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. Responsible for providing academic leadership in the classroom and ensuring an effective and compelling learning environment for students. You will… Ensure student awareness of course objectives, approach, and evaluation techniques. Carry out regularly scheduled instruction, which may include tutoring and academic counselling of students. Provide a learning environment that makes effective use of available resources, work experience and field trips. Evaluate student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the student's work within assigned courses. What you bring to Seneca Education Minimum completed Master's Degree in Physiotherapy. Current and active registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Experience Minimum three (3) years of relevant field experience. Experience working with Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTAs) and Physiotherapist Assistants (PTAs) in clinical settings. Previous teaching, training, or clinical supervision experience is considered an asset. Skills Demonstrated knowledge of and experience teaching fundamentals of your area(s) of expertise. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with the Polytechnics’ diverse staff and student population is required, as is an understanding of and commitment to equity in education. Commitment to a team approach for problem solving and conflict resolution. Note: A teaching demonstration may be required during the recruitment process.
