Duties may include: Assisting clients with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene Providing mobility assistance and safe transfers Meal preparation and assistance with eating and drinking Light housekeeping and laundry Medication reminders and medication assistance under supervision Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition Providing companionship, emotional support, and social engagement Supporting clients in maintaining independence and quality of life Maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful environment Qualifications We are looking for caregivers who are: Compassionate, patient, and dependable Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Passionate about helping seniors maintain dignity and independence Requirements: Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant Program Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred Negative TB test completed within the past 90 days Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past 90 days CPR and First Aid certification preferred Reliable transportation Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends Must be able to speak and write English fluently (additional languages are an asset) Available Shifts Day shifts Evening shifts Overnight shifts Monday to Friday Weekend availability Casual and flexible scheduling options available About Senior Helpers Senior Helpers is proud to be a trusted provider of in-home senior care.
