Reporting to the Building and Services Manager, the Maintenance Coordinator oversees maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and grounds while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Occupational Health and Safety standards. This role coordinates preventative maintenance programs, manages maintenance projects and budgets, conducts safety inspections, and supports emergency preparedness and fire safety initiatives. The Maintenance Coordinator also promotes a strong culture of workplace safety and ensures a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Maintenance Tracking software such as Asset Planner Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety legislation Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the building/mechanical trades Knowledge of heating, ventilating and lighting systems used in the facility Ability to use hand and power tools (e.g. electric drills, saws, measuring and cutting devices)
