Ministry Assistant - Weekends The Weekends Ministry Assistant will be responsible for supporting, equipping, and empowering Weekends volunteers and helping to set them up for success as they serve our church community in various ways. Key Accountabilities: Support Legato, Weekend Meals, and Communion Prep volunteers Assist the Weekends Coordinator in supporting additional volunteer teams Lead volunteers by answering questions, directing people, and providing assistance when necessary Prepare weekend spaces including unlocking doors and turning on lights, and ensuring volunteers have everything they need to serve Additional Requirements/Responsibilities: Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check Complete the Abuse Prevention process Proven competencies and a desire to work closely with many people Ability to lead and direct volunteers and recruit potential volunteers Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Staff Handbook Qualifications: A genuine love for people and an ability to interact with others in a positive and welcoming way. A strong love for Jesus and for His church Working Hours: 10-12 hours per week. 4-8pm on Saturdays, 7:30am-1:30pm on Sundays, 0-2 hours of flex time during the week for general communication or weekend prep.
