Sheshegwaning First Nation is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to provide homemaking services to elderly and disabled persons in Sheshegwaning and Zhiibaahaasing First Nations. The Homemaker will report to the Health Director. Overview: This person will work closely with the Health Centre Team to: Provide homemaking services to the elderly and disabled persons Co-ordinate schedules to meet the needs of the clients in a timely manner Qualifications: Excellent communication and organization skills Compassion and understanding The ability to work unsupervised Must be able to provide a vulnerable sector criminal reference check G driver’s license Knowledge/understanding of the Anishinaabe language, customs and traditions would be an asset Required Services: Washing of floors, windows and walls as needed Cleaning bathrooms Doing laundry Changing bed linens Cleaning fridges Cleaning Stoves Other related duties as requested Open until filled Preference will be given to qualified members of Sheshegwaning First Nation.
