Company Description Founded in 2000, Special Times Out of School Care has been serving families in North Vancouver for over 25 years. Originally started as a family daycare, we expanded in 2007 into a dedicated before- and after-school care program in the Blueridge community. Today, we operate across three locations, providing safe, reliable, and supportive care for children and families. Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Childcare Staff to support children in our after-school program. This part-time, on-site role involves working directly with students, fostering a positive environment, and assisting with educational and fun activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on their growth and development. Responsibilities Pick up children from classrooms and take attendance Support daily activities, including arts and crafts Help prepare snacks and daily crafts Supervise children during activities, ensuring safety and positive behavior Prepare educational resources for daily activities Collaborate with other staff to maintain a safe, fun, and supportive environment Experience Prior experience working with young children is required Background in early childhood education or related fields is an asset Experience in a licensed before- and after-school care setting is highly desirable Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with children Qualifications Must be 19 years or older Responsible Adult Certificate, or currently an ECE student/ECE Assistant Valid First Aid certification Clean criminal record check Strong English (speaking and understanding) Most importantly: ability to engage and interact positively with children Job Type: Part-time Hours: 20 per week Monday- Friday 2:30- 6:00pm Wednesdays: 1:30-6:00pm Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour Benefits: Extended health care Supportive team environment Work Location: In-person (North Vancouver, BC)

Requirements
Candidates must be at least 19 years old with a Responsible Adult Certificate or be an ECE student, and possess valid First Aid certification. Prior experience working with young children and a clean criminal record check are required.
