Job summary
Transit Driver Cold Lake Bus Lines is currently hiring for Transit Drivers - full-time, part-time and casual positions available. Service runs Monday through Saturday; shifts vary based on transportation needs and additional hours may available based on business requirements. Part-time drivers can expect approximately 10 - 25 hours per week. Casual drivers typically work at least one weekday shift (3 hours) and Saturdays (4.5 hour midday shift or 10-hour split-shift). Saturday availability is required. We offer competitive wages, with pay starting at $23.81 per hour, ongoing training and development, and a family-oriented team environment. Position Requirements: * Class 1 or 2Q driver's license * Previous commercial driving experience (minimum 1 year) * Driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerit points * Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening * Clear criminal record * Must be organized, punctual and reliable * Possess excellent driving skills and habits * Ability to read maps and navigate (familiar with Cold Lake and surrounding area) * Ability to communicate effectively * Willing to work shifts, including split shifts, weekends and statutory holidays as necessary Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Safely transport passengers on a number of assigned routes * Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions * Provide superior customer service and assist with passenger questions/inquiries Transportation is an essential service for our communities, and it takes a special person to commit to doing it well. Requirements
Candidates must possess a Class 1 or 2Q driver's license and at least one year of commercial driving experience. Applicants must also have a clean driver's abstract, pass a drug and alcohol screening, and maintain a clear criminal record.
