optometric assistant

*Role: *The job of optometric assistant includes assisting the optometrist in providing eye care services by performing selected preliminary tests and by assisting patients in the selection and fitting of eyewear while working within an enjoyable, collaborative team environment. Extensive onsite training will be required. This position entails approximately 3-4 days per week. *Experience: *Training and previous related experience as an optometric assistant, optician or experience in areas of health care or customer service is preferred. *Education: *Completion of post-secondary education preferred. *Skills required: *Excellence in: verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, professionalism, computer skills, empathy, discernment, reliability, ability to work cheerfully as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, quick and accurate decision-making skills, organizational skills. *Expected start: *September 2026 Please submit a cover letter and resume.
