Full Job Description Supervised Instructor Therapist (Independant Contractor Position-ongoing contract) About Us The Birch Centre for Learning and Development is a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals specialized in providing ABA based services and support to improve the lives of children and their families. The Birch Centre is currently looking for dedicated, energetic, and passionate professionals to fill full-time and part-time Instructor Therapist positions at our Brampton location. We are looking for Therapists that are committed to improving the lives of children and their families by creating a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters the development of each child to reach their full potential. Supervised Instructor Therapists will work 1:1 with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other developmental delays, employing ABA/IBI principles and teaching strategies as directed by a Senior Therapist or BCBA/RBA. Successful candidates must have ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team. Skills, Requirements and Qualifications A degree in Psychology or a related field or a diploma in a Behavioural Science program would be an asset. One or more years direct experience working with and implementing ABA teaching strategies with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental delays Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional Liability Insurance Current Vulnerable Sector Screening Valid First Aid, CPI, and CPR certificate an asset What We Offer: Being a part of an engaged, fun, supportive and experienced team Seeing clients make great progress Opportunities for professional growth and development Ongoing training and workshops RBA supervision hours when available Please send us your resume and selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
