The AVP Philanthropy will support the VP Philanthropy in developing and maintaining Commerce Community’s relationships with local non-profits, charitable organizations, and other social impact organizations. This includes researching volunteer opportunities and local initiatives to share with students through CC’s bimonthly newsletter. Additionally, the AVP Philanthropy will assist in identifying and reaching out to potential attendees and organizations for networking events centered around positive social impact in business. \n Time Commitment 3-5 hours/week Term of Employment September 2026 - March 2027 Main Responsibilities Reach out to local philanthropic and/or non-profit organizations to establish partnerships and secure panelists for events. Research relevant and local volunteering opportunities across the Greater Vancouver region. Develop bi-monthly social impact newsletters. Attend weekly meetings and support team members as required. Qualifications Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Deadline-driven, excellent time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate in functional teams. Knowledge about local businesses, non-profits, and social enterprise firms is an asset. Anticipated Learning Outcomes Develop research and content curation skills for community initiatives. Gain experience working closely with external parties, specifically social impact-driven organizations.
