Child & Youth Worker (CYW) / ABA Therapist – Community & In-Home Location: Ottawa & surrounding Region Organization: OneHealth Kids Position Type: Part-Time / Casual (Contract) Start Date: Ongoing Hiring Compensation: About the Role OneHealth Kids is hiring Child & Youth Workers (CYW), Behaviour Therapists, and ABA-based support staff to work with children and youth with autism and developmental needs across our network. You will provide 1:1 support to clients in a variety of settings, including: In-home Community (e.g., outings, programs) In-centre (clinic-based services) This role is ideal for candidates with strong behaviour management skills, ABA experience, and flexibility across environments. Client Population You will support children and youth (typically ages 2–18) with: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Developmental delays Communication challenges (including non-verbal clients) Behavioural and emotional regulation needs Physical support needs (in some cases) Key Responsibilities Deliver 1:1 direct support using ABA principles and behaviour strategies Implement behaviour plans (BIPs) and therapy goals under supervision Support behaviour management, including redirection and de-escalation Facilitate skill-building activities (communication, social, daily living) Support transitions across environments (home, community, centre) Assist with ADLs and physical support when required Use alternative communication methods as needed Track data and maintain session notes Collaborate with families and clinical supervisors Required Qualifications Diploma or Degree in: Child & Youth Work (CYW) Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Behavioural Science / Psychology or related field Experience with ABA and behaviour management Experience supporting children with autism and/or developmental needs Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle (REQUIRED) Willingness to travel between home, community, and centre-based settings Current CPR/First Aid Certification Clear Vulnerable Sector Check Preferred Skills Experience implementing ABA programs and data collection Knowledge of prompting, reinforcement, and behaviour reduction strategies Experience with non-verbal clients and AAC tools Strong adaptability across different environments and client needs What We’re Looking For Reliable, flexible, and professional Strong behavioural management and communication skills Comfortable in dynamic, hands-on environments Team-oriented with ability to work independently Committed to ethical, client-centered care Work Environment Flexible scheduling based on client needs Work across multiple settings (home, community, clinic) Ongoing supervision and collaboration with clinical team Why Join OneHealth Kids Diverse client experience across settings Supportive clinical and operational team Opportunities to build ABA and developmental expertise Meaningful, impact-driven work

Requirements
Requires a diploma or degree in Child & Youth Work, Psychology, or a related field, along with a valid driver's license and vehicle. Candidates must have experience in ABA and behavior management, plus current CPR/First Aid certification.
