One physical space in a classroom on campus where a professor is there with a reduced number of students, and a second virtual space using a videoconferencing technology (Zoom or MS Teams) for students who choose to take the course remotely. Date Schedule Mode of Delivery Language September 9, 2026- December9, 2026 Wednesday 5:30- 8:30 PM Bimodal French Course description: Conflict resolution approaches and institutions created over time in different regions of the world. Traditional dispute resolution mechanisms. State and law. Democratic institutions. Third party involvement and promotion of peace. Required experience and qualifications: * A doctorate or equivalent training in the discipline or a related field. * Expertise in approaches to and institutions for conflict resolution across multiple regions of the world, from a historical perspective; institutional, state-based, and traditional mechanisms; the role of the state, law, and non-state actors in conflict resolution and the promotion of peace * Passive proficiency in the second official language * Sensitivity to multiple differences (including abilities, genders, and cultures) and to students' concerns. * Proficiency with both in-person and online learning tools Please submit your application (letter of intent and CV) online using the job posting system, by July 7, 2026, 11:59 PM. What you’ll do
The professor will teach the course 'History of Conflict Resolution' using a bimodal delivery method. Responsibilities include instructing students both in-person and virtually on conflict resolution approaches and institutions.
Requirements
A doctorate in a related field and expertise in global conflict resolution mechanisms from a historical perspective are required. Candidates must be proficient in online learning tools and possess passive proficiency in a second official language.
