Together, we transform lives and communities. **Position Details** Reporting to the Manager, Caretaking Services, this position is responsible for janitorial work (i.e. floor scrubbing, carpet cleaning, floor refinishing, and general cleaning) recycling; assisting with the completion of minor maintenance projects, operating cleaning equipment (i.e. polishers, auto scrubbers, burnishers, and other cleaning equipment), apartment cleaning; adhering to standard operating procedures and safe work practices. The successful candidate will be working 18.75 hours per week minimum. **Position Qualifications** The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and at least 12 months of related work experience. We are looking for high energy individuals who can demonstrate the following skills and abilities: - Effective English reading, verbal and written communication skills at the appropriate level for the position - Reliable, positive, and detail oriented with excellent time management skills - Experience with heavy duty cleaning procedures and commercial cleaning equipment - Current WHMIS certification is an asset - Ability to perform physically demanding work (i.e. including bending, twisting, climbing stairs, pushing, and pulling, regular lifting of 10 kg and occasional lifting of 25 kg) in a safe and efficient manner - A proven ability to maintain effective working relationships and provide quality customer service - Standard first aid and CPR certification is desired - The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check **Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)** $3,135.00 - $3,432.00 monthly **Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)** $3,135.00 - $3,729.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 3) **Campus** Lethbridge **Employment Group** AUPE **Position Category** Other
