We are hiring for a Food Runner, Wildlight Kitchen + Bar at our location in Vancouver, BC near the UBC area. You will be responsible for: Serving orders by picking up and delivering guests' choices from the kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from the service area. Communicating with the kitchen on special orders. Keeping bills organized for the kitchen and watching bill times. Knowing and communicating the order of tables coming up for the kitchen. Calling servers and other staff when orders need to be run. Serving food items to the table in the correct position and seat in a professional manner, with food descriptions for the guests. Knowing the menu syllabus and being able to prioritize allergies or dietary restrictions. Polishing glassware, cutlery and plateware before returning the clean items for use. Taking instruction and assisting the Chef in the kitchen. Supporting other areas of the restaurant as necessary. You have: A minimum of 1 year of restaurant experience. A Serving it Right Certificate. A Food Safe Certificate (considered an asset). Proficiency with computers and applications including POS systems (considered an asset). You are: An excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Detail oriented with a focus on efficiency and accuracy. Compensation Details: $18.25 - $18.25 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
