Job summary
Part Time Custodians The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board maintains a pool of Part Time Custodians. Applicants must be available to work on an on-call basis Monday to Friday for day-to-day casual assignments. Part Time Custodians employed by the Board work a maximum of 32 hours per week or less and are required to travel to any school within the Board’s geographic area (Windsor and Essex County). Shifts may vary from day to afternoon. This position will perform all necessary cleaning duties in schools to include cleaning classrooms, washrooms/change rooms, hallways, stair wells, gymnasiums, and cafeterias throughout elementary and secondary schools. Tasks will include: emptying garbage, dry and wet mop floors, wipe surfaces (desks, tables, blackboards), wash toilets/showers, stock paper towels, toilet paper. In winter months work will include shoveling snow at school entrance / walk ways. During summer months work will include moving all furniture from rooms to perform thorough cleaning of walls, furniture, floors and lights. Requirements
Candidates should be secondary school graduates with a valid Class G driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Recent related work experience and basic computer skills are preferred.
