Job summary
Scheduling Clerk - Casual Provides centralized support to all long term care homes in calling in and replacing staff during evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays, according to established procedures and shift scheduling guidelines. Ensures timely updates to the homes and maintains both computerized and manual staff scheduling/timekeeping records. Responsibilities: Provides support in contacting and scheduling staff replacement during the evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays according to established shift scheduling guidelines. Documents all scheduling activities (e.g., who was contacted, time of call, response, etc.) Provides general administrative support to the Long Term Care Home Assists with checking and verifying scheduling data against payroll time entry records, as required. Complies with risk management policy for health and safety and data security Keeps up-to-date with developments and best practices in the field Other duties as required Qualifications: Completion of secretarial program, or equivalent Minimum 1 year clerical or secretarial experience with scheduling in a unionized environment an asset Computer proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to engage others in a pleasant, positive and professional manner Superb time management and organization skills Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervison and also as part of a team Excellent customer service skills Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays Recent satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen Ability to converse in English and Chinese Working Condition: The Incumbent will primarily be working remotely and must have a stable and secure internet connection at the remote location. The incumbent is required to work on site when requested.
