About This Role: The Speaker Booking Agent will take a key role in researching, contacting, and securing bookings for the Executive Director of Youth Forge. You will conduct cohesive research to locate events and conferences for young founders, founder events, and C-suite executives. After conducting extensive research, you will create a personalized pitch that aligns with the core mission of the hosts. You will contact hosts, members of the hosting company and other relevant parties. You will be updating and maintaining contact management systems. You will secure speaking collaborations to increase Youth Forge visibility. Requirements: This position requires work experience Direct experience being a speaker agent, pitching and contacting conference hosts for speaking engagements. Proven track record of contact sheets or pitching messages. OR Direct experience in a booking role, such as booking a speaker for conferences; television, radio, or podcasting guests; bookstore readings; business conferences; or similar. Having experience in companies that host conferences, events or podcasts is highly recommended. Benefits: This is a performance-based paid position, with no pay cap. You will be paid a min of 15% commission for each paid speaking engagement. Commissions are negotiable based on experience, overall performance, and commitment to results. (Up to 30%) This position is mostly remote but will require some travel to our conferences, which occur every few weeks during the fall, winter, and spring. During the interview: How do you reach out to event hosts? Process What is your pitch format? How do you learn about the speaking event/conferences? What industry did you book speakers in? Do you have a relevant network hosting events, news, and conferences? How many events in the span of 3 months? You also have the opportunity to negotiate your commissions.
