What you’ll do * Build, update, and maintain websites and landing pages. * Turn designs and content into responsive, user-friendly pages. * Improve website performance, accessibility, and technical SEO. * Troubleshoot bugs, broken layouts, forms, and integrations. * Connect websites with APIs, CRM systems, and other business tools. * Test changes across browsers and devices, manage code in Git, and support deployments. * Collaborate with our team on client projects and internal products. What we’re looking for * Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. * Experience with React, Next.js, or a comparable modern framework. * A portfolio demonstrating websites or applications you helped build. * Good judgment around layout, typography, spacing, and mobile usability. * Ability to work independently, communicate progress, and meet agreed deadlines. * Comfort using AI coding tools, with the ability to understand, review, and test the code you deliver. * Availability to work in person at our downtown Ottawa office as required. Experience with WordPress, Shopify, TypeScript, API integrations, or basic backend development would be an asset. We value demonstrated ability and thoughtful work. Personal projects and freelance experience are welcome. How the role works This is a part-time, hourly position starting at $25 per hour. Work will be assigned as needed, with hours varying based on project demand and agreed availability. The hybrid arrangement combines remote work with collaboration at our 150 Elgin Street office.
