The Recreation Assistant plans and implements therapeutic and recreational programs to meet the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs of residents. They also assist with resident care, support mealtimes, and provide direction to volunteers within the community. Candidates must have a Grade 12 diploma and a Recreation Therapy Aide certificate or diploma. Additionally, a current Food Safe Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and an unrestricted Class 4 driver's license are required.
