About The Role As a Resident Care Aide, you will play an essential role in supporting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. You’ll assist with daily activities such as personal care, grooming, dressing, mobility, and mealtimes, all while promoting a safe and respectful environment. You will follow individualized care plans and collaborate closely with nursing and care team members to ensure each resident receives attentive, personalized support. By building meaningful connections and maintaining accurate documentation, you help foster a culture of compassion and excellence in care. Please note, this is a unionized position. Responsibilities: Assist residents with personal care, grooming, dressing, mobility, and mealtimes Follow and contribute to individualized care plans that support residents’ dignity and health Maintain a clean, safe-living environment in accordance with infection control protocols Accurately document care and promptly report any changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team Support new residents during their transition and encourage engagement in the community Requirements: Graduation from a recognized Resident Care Assistant Program Current registration and in good standing with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry First Aid Level 1 (required for external hires) High school diploma Current Food Safe certificate Current WHMIS certification Compensation And Benefits An hourly wage of $29.62 – $31.40. Requirements
Must be a graduate of a recognized Resident Care Assistant Program and registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry. Required certifications include First Aid Level 1, Food Safe, and WHMIS, along with a high school diploma.
