The Grocery Clerk is responsible for maintaining department shelves, ensuring products are well-displayed, and providing exceptional customer service. They must also perform housekeeping duties and adhere to all safety policies while handling various dairy and chilled goods.

Responsibilities will include: * Providing exceptional member service * Operating and maintaining equipment in a safe and responsible manner * Timely completion of all department tasks, ensure shelves are full and all products are displayed well. * Delivering exceptional customer service and making sure that products are ready and available for customers. * Performing housekeeping duties when required * Wearing all personal protective equipment as per Evergreen Co-op policies * Adhering to all Evergreen Co-op safety policies and procedures * Working in cool and humid conditions * Handling all varieties and types of dairy and chilled goods * Being comfortable with working indoors and outdoors, and changing environments frequently * Stocking shelves and organizing product * Assisting with receiving duties when required * All other duties as assigned. We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications: * Previous retail experience with knowledge of grocery/food products is an asset. * Self-motivated, reliable, responsible, friendly, and hard working * Ability to handle multiple demands at once while still providing excellent customer service. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Commitment to cooperative values and principles * Possesses a sense of urgency, and customer first attitude. * The ability to be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. is required, as well as a good portion of the day doing static positions.
