CRDAC exists to represent the needs and vested interests of the Conklin Community.
Conklin, Alberta
Conklin is a community in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (“RMWB”). The community is primarily Métis people who can trace their history to the late nineteenth century. The community is recognized as a “Métis Harvesting Community” in the Government of Alberta Métis Harvesting Policy and continues to actively promote their unique Métis culture through organizations such as the Conklin Métis Local 193 (“CML #193”) and the Conklin Community Association (“CCA”). CRDAC, a Society under the Societies Act, is a not-for-profit organization consisting of an appointed Board of Directors from the CCA and CML #193. The CRDAC Board is recognized as a policy governing board. The CRDAC is the voice of the Conklin community and a one-window interface for Government and Industry to engage with the community of Conklin on social, environmental, cultural, and economic interests.

The role involves providing general maintenance, repairs, and improvements to CRDAC owned properties, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Additionally, the position manages groundskeeping, equipment maintenance, and coordination with subcontractors.
