Job summary
Educify Inc. is recruiting part-time in-person tutors in Calgary for music, mathematics, languages, and test preparation. Tutors may teach from their approved home or studio, travel to students’ homes, or meet students at public libraries and other agreed safe community locations. Subject areas • Music: piano, guitar, drums, strings, woodwinds, brass, voice, theory, and exam preparation • Mathematics: elementary through high school, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and competition support • Languages: English, French, Spanish, and other languages • Test preparation: provincial exams, SAT, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL, and other standardized assessments Key responsibilities • Deliver engaging, personalized, in-person lessons for learners of different ages and skill levels • Assess learning needs and prepare lesson plans aligned with each student’s goals • Track progress and communicate professional updates to students or parents/guardians • Coordinate schedules and travel reliably within your selected Calgary communities • Maintain punctuality, appropriate boundaries, safeguarding standards, and a safe teaching environment • Use Educify tools to manage your tutor profile, availability, and assigned learners Qualifications • Strong subject knowledge supported by relevant education, certification, or professional experience • Music applicants should hold an ARCT designation or an equivalent advanced music qualification where applicable • Previous tutoring, classroom, coaching, or private-lesson experience is preferred • Clear communication, patience, reliability, and the ability to adapt lessons to individual learners • Ability to teach legally in Canada and travel to agreed local lesson locations • Successful applicants may be required to complete identity, credential, reference, and background verification Compensation $20–$40 per hour, depending on subject, qualifications, experience, lesson format, and assignment.
