Job summary
Description The Prep Cook supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring kitchen readiness for service. This entry-level role provides the foundation for developing cooking skills and gaining exposure to a professional kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, coolers, and storage areas. Label, date, and properly store food items to maintain freshness and safety. Assist cooks and chefs during service by providing prepped ingredients and basic tasks. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. What We’re Looking For 1+ year previous kitchen experience is preferred Basic knife skills and knowledge of food handling. Ability to follow directions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain). Physical Requirements Stand/walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours). Lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs. regularly. Work in hot, cold, and humid environments. Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
