About the role:

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values

and ensures that those values guide all decisions. Creating a caring environment for patients and families ensures

continuity of care and fosters a learning environment. Applicants are required to have a demonstrated knowledge,

understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.

Reporting to the Manager ‑ Rehabilitation, the Rehab Assistant will receive direction from, and is supervised by a

Physiotherapist for the provision of treatment and other patient care services as directed by professional practice

guidelines. Non‑patient care duties such as maintaining the department are also part of the position. Maintains

ongoing communication with all members of the rehabilitation department.

Qualifications:

* Formal training in a Rehabilitation Assistant program or equivalent education is required

* Experience working in a rehabilitation program environment, providing rehabilitation support and direct patient care

* Demonstrated commitment to continuing education

* Basic to intermediate computer skills are required

Salary Range: $30.084 to 30.554
