We are currently inviting applications for a Permanent Part-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our Resident Services team. This position is unionized and governed by the CUPE Collective Agreement. Compensation, Benefits & Pension Hourly rate: $31.857– $33.029 per hour (all new hires start at the starting rate, in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement) This gives transparency about the potential progression without misrepresenting the immediate starting pay. Protects you legally and is consistent with CUPE / ESA requirements. Shift premiums in accordance with the Collective Agreement Comprehensive benefits package or percentage in lieu of benefits, where applicable Participation in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) Qualifications Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario Current CPR certification Demonstrated knowledge of geriatric nursing and the long-term care sector Knowledge of applicable legislation, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 Medication administration and clinical documentation proficiency Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team Italian language skills are considered an asset Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care in accordance with CNO standards, applicable legislation, and organizational policies Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team conferences Ensure infection prevention and control practices are followed Supervise and support unregulated care providers Additional Requirements Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last six months) as a condition of employment Compliance with occupational health, immunization, and screening requirements Ability to meet the physical demands of the position Incentives & Professional Support Through the Ontario Health Join LTC Program, eligible nurses may receive a financial incentive for committing to a 24-month position in long-term care. Incentives are subject to Ministry of Health program eligibility criteria.
