Candidate profile (title) What you'll need to have

Candidate profile (text) - Default language • You are enthusiastic about working with children

  • You can prioritize, are disciplined, show initiative and have a flexible attitude
  • You have at least 6 months of Customer Service experience in a retail environment (preferably)
  • You are as cool as a cucumber under pressure, and can take charge of an urgent situation, even if it means to quickly go get your Manager for help
  • You are totally cool working in a physically demanding, fast-paced, work environment
  • First Aid/CPR certification

Key responsibilities (title) A day in your life with us

Key responsibilities (text) • Supervise children signed into the Ballroom, strictly following IKEA ballroom policies and procedures and IKEA’s safety and security guidelines

  • Register children into the ballroom based on current criteria
  • Interact with and monitor the playtime of the children
  • Maintain level of supplies in the ballroom area as required
  • Advise manager when supplies need to be ordered or equipment needs to be repaired
  • In conjunction with Housekeeping, ensure ballroom/baby care room criteria for cleanliness is maintained
  • Communicate to managers on issues/concerns/incidences with regard to safety and security of the children
  • Work in other customer service areas as scheduled

The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.28.
