What You’ll Do:
As a Lifeguard/Instructor, you will educate the public about water safety and work as part of a team to ensure the safety of all Aquatic Centre users. You will be prepared to respond to emergency situations and implement lifesaving and first aid procedures. Lifeguard/Instructors prepare lesson plans, deliver program instruction, and complete student evaluations. In this role you will also contribute to a well-maintained facility by completing required cleaning tasks.

Lifeguard Hiring Process:

National Lifeguard Skills Assessment

Stroke Assessment

Instructor Co-Teach Experience / Swim Instructor (if required)

Interview
Successful applicants will demonstrate on their resume:
- Current Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Certificate – Pool
- Current Standard First Aid Certificate (within three years)
- Current CPR C / AED Certificate (within one year)
- Lifesaving - Swim Instructor (within 2 years)
Our interview questions are intended to assess the following key competencies:
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently, and also as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize safety, recognize the signs of an emergency, and take appropriate action
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public, team members, and leaders
