Job Description
MPP invites applications for the following teaching position in the 2026-27 session:
PUBPOL 760: Housing Informatics
This skills lab explores the application of data science, information systems, and digital tools to enhance policy-making and public administration in the housing sector. The course emphasizes practical examples in housing policy in Canada, demonstrating how informatics can improve decision-making, resource allocation, and policy outcomes in these critical areas. Students will learn about the existing data infrastructure(s) that support policy-making in these critical areas. Students will learn to navigate and leverage these systems in order to inform and evaluate interventions that seek to address real-world policy challenges.
The successful candidate will have a track record of research and teaching appointments at the rank commensurate with an Adjunct Professor, Associate Professor or Professor of Practice.
Applicants must have an area of specialization in data systems, analytics, and terminology, with an emphasis on the housing sector. Experience as a practitioner in or with government is desirable but not required. The Faculty of Social Sciences and MPP have significant strengths in the areas of research, teaching and mentorship. The successful applicant will teach at graduate level and have a demonstrated track record of excellent teaching.
The incumbent will be appointed at the appropriate rank with MPP, located on the main university campus to begin September 2026.
